Thought of the Day - December 20, 2011

From someone who saw people clearly - Hermann Hesse

“It is not our purpose to become each other; it is to recognize each other, to learn to see the other and honor him for what he is.”

Each individual of value in your life has a unique and necessary set of traits to bring to the table. Allow them to be who they are and give what they have to offer. Admire it, honor it, but never try to emulate it. For every second you spend trying to sit in someone else's chair you are abandoning your own plate, letting your own food get cold and starving yourself. Contribute to the world what you have to offer and let others do the same. That is the only way people thrive in this world.

Have a bold day!
