"America, I never said this journey would be easy, and I won’t promise that now. Yes, our path is harder, but it leads to a better place. Yes our road is longer, but we travel it together. We don’t turn back. We leave no one behind. We pull each other up. We draw strength from our victories, and we learn from our mistakes, but we keep our eyes fixed on that distant horizon, knowing that Providence is with us, and that we are surely blessed to be citizens of the greatest nation on Earth."
Hope isn't a bad word. Self governance requires that citizens place their faith in a selected few to map out every aspect of their lives from how they will be educated, to where they live, to whether or not they will feel safe there. In a democracy, all you have is faith in those you select to lead. It is called faith because all you can do it step out on a ledge with them and HOPE they do as they promised, HOPE they make the right choices, HOPE they keep our country safe, HOPE they lead us in the right direction and HOPE you made the right choice in selecting them for the job. No matter who the candidate is, every election is about HOPE. And when you blend your hope, faith in the progress made, belief in the ideals and loyalty to the mission at hand you make your choice in November and HOPE the country survives its collective choice.
Have an engaged day!
