Often too much emphasis is placed on how things end and not enough on the time they existed. If a relationship of any kind comes to an end, celebrate the good times, reflect on the not so good times and learn how to have more of the former and less of the latter. The way things end are sometimes a mirror of the relationship. Other times the way something ends is just the way it ends. There won't be any major reason or deeper meaning. Sometimes a goodbye is just a period in a long sentence and the only thing necessary to stop something from going on longer than necessary.
