Imagine the agony of riding in a car from New York to California alone with someone who made your skin crawl. Imagine taking a 18 hour flight with a person who made you want to bash yourself over the head rather than listen to another word they speak. One would never agree to this. One would prefer to take the drive or flight alone rather than suffer through extended misery. The journey of life is no different.
