From someone who understood the need for personal sacrifice - Albert Schweitzer
"Whoever is spared personal pain must feel himself called to help in diminishing the pain of others. We must all carry our share of the misery which lies upon the world.”
This Sunday, I walked in AIDS WALK NY! Through the rain, the brief intermission and the hills of Central Park, I remained focused on the task at hand. Raising money in support of those who are often shunned by society. Raising awareness about a disease that is killing people unnecessarily and giving of myself for the benefit of others. My life here on earth is in no way just about me. I recognize that I am here to be of service to others and for others, especially those who do not often have a voice raised for them. This Sunday, along with 40,000 other New Yorkers, I helped raise a loud voice for HIV/AIDS awareness. And with the support of many of you, I was able to raise $1,025 in support of that voice. For whom much is given, much is expected. Thank you all for your support.
I can't wait until next year!
Have an amazing day!
