There several traits we easily recognize in others that we never seem to see in ourselves. Selfishness is atop that list. There is no greater grievance in relationships than the accusation of selfishness and no more common motivator of the actions of both parties than self interest. It is kind to forgive another for being selfish, it is love to recognize your own selfish ways and check yourself accordingly.
