Thought of the Day - July 8, 2009

From someone who took his human responsibility seriously - Arthur H. Stainback

"The value of compassion cannot be over-emphasized. Anyone can criticize. It takes a true believer to be compassionate. No greater burden can be borne by an individual than to know no one cares or understands."

To feel for a person you know is easy. You know them, they are tangible, with a name a face you recognize. The truest compassion exist for those you do not know. For they have done nothing to earn your adoration except be a human being with a heart. Its easy to condemn another. Much harder to allow your heart to demonstrate its natural love and experience pain which is not your own. And only when you can demonstrate that level of love can you ever expect to receive it.

Have a compassionate day!
