Thought of the Day - June 30, 2009

From someone who said something great but will never get credit - Anonymous

"There are three types of friends: those like food, without which you can't live; those like medicine, which you need occasionally; and those like an illness, which you never want."

Taking inventory of your friends is just as essential to your well being as taking inventory of your closet or your bank account. Sometimes people who we call "friend" are mislabeled that way, either because they held that title once upon a time or the role they play in your life is so complex they don't have a title for it, hence the default of "friend". You know in your heart who your true friends are just as you know who is just playing the role of friend for the moment. The burden falls upon you to lift up the friendships that are deserving of the name and let go of those which are not.

Have a selective day!
