How is it that now we have gotten into a debate that compares Palin's experience to that of Barack Obama. That is insulting on so many levels. Mainly because Barack Obama is on the TOP of the ticket and to compare him to this woman is insulting. If you must in fact compare their experience, I would like to know how being the mayor of a town of 9,000 and Governor of the remote state of Alaska for 20 months makes you more qualified to be president than someone who was a state senator for 8 years and a US senator for 2 years. That is 10 years of experience working on legislature that directly impacted both the people of Illinois and the country. Obama served on Foreign Affairs Committee, this woman just go a passport for the first time in 2007. She has been to two countries outside the US, Germany and Kuwait. Right now, by John McCain's standard, I have more than enough foreign policy experience to be the VP (and I dont have 5 children, one who is disabled and one who is pregnant ).
If in fact we compare the VP's you see there is NO comparison. Joe Biden's name rings bells among foreign leaders. Until last Friday and for some of us still today, this woman is UNKNOWN.
The debate is going to be the best test here. Also how she performs tonight (which by the way this morning she was learning how to use the teleprompter).
It is terribly irresponsible of McCain to put the fate of this country in the hands of this woman who can not effectively run her household of 7. McCain is a 4 time cancer survivor and 72 years old. He could die while in office. If we think America is a joke now of the global stage because our President is in idiot, imagine the image of us if our president is an incompetent, unpolished, controversy filled, person who clearly likes to abuse her power to her benefit.
At this point, if McCain wins I may need to seriously consider living in the Republic of South Africa for the next four years.....
