“The recipe for perpetual ignorance is: Be satisfied with your opinions and content with your knowledge.”
Your opinions were formed based on your experiences. As your experiences change, so can your opinions - if you are open to it. Holding fast and hard to an opinion without even being open to hearing the other side isn't standing firm, its being stuck. There is more in the world than just what your two eyes see. In the pursuit of information and knowledge, by the sheer act of asking questions, you may learn things you never knew. In turn you may adjust your view and expand your opinion. You may also find that your opinion stays exactly the same once you find out something new. It isn't important that you change your opinion. It is important that you are open to learning new things that put you at risk of a change. Be open to it, you just never know.
Have a wise day!
