“If you truly want honesty, don't ask questions you don't really want the answer to”
People often demand honesty from others. But it isn't always something they can actually tolerate. If you truly don't want to hear a persons honest thoughts, you must be bold enough to go beyond just not asking them a question. When you really don't want to hear what other people have to say, you should offer that disclaimer at the start of the discussion. Whether they tell you in that moment, later in a fit of anger or through their actions/inaction, a person will have, form and at some point express their honest opinion. But if you don't want to, you never have to acknowledge or hear it. Just how much honesty you accept into your life is up to you.
Have a sweet day!
