Thought of the Day - November 12, 2012

From someone who spoke with conviction - Ralph Marston

“Don't lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your level of performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself, and then do what is necessary to make it a reality.”

When you have expectations of others, there is a good chance they will disappoint you.  That does not make them bad or wrong, it just means what you placed upon them as a standard was not one which they could meet. In those cases, you may need to adjust your expectations of others, for it benefits no one to have unrealistic expectations, you cant control others and what they do.  However, when it comes to what you expect from yourself, you are in total control.  Never ever lower yourself to meet any ones expectations, especially your own.  Rise to every occasion placed in front of you and exceed every expectation of yourself.  And when you do meet and exceed, don't rest on comfy.  Set them higher, raise the bar and get to work!

Have a fancy day!
