Integrity is high atop the list of important character traits one should possess. It is not just about whether or no you will cheat or steal or lie, for those are the extremes. It is about whether you remain true to yourself and your core values no matter what is presented in front of you or the change in your circumstance. It is about whether or not you feel an obligation to keep your word. Whether you feel obligated to do what you are supposed to do, no matter which way your emotions drive you. Integrity is deep, it is at the core, it is real. And when someone doesn't have any, it is easy to spot. Ignore it at your own peril.
