Be genuine in your approach to love, be kind in your approach to relationships. But most of all, be your authentic self. When you expect others to be perfect, they will always disappoint you. There is no way around that. When you expect people to be exactly who they are, the only way they can disappoint you is when they stop being themselves. And at that moment, you get to decide if you want to continue with this new person. When each person is being themselves in a relationship and being accepted as they are and expected to show up as they are, relationships flourish. Under any other circumstance, they die.
