Thought of the Day - June 20, 2012

From someone who knew when to draw the line - Max Lucade

“Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional.”

Going to war is a choice.  It is an active decision to take a simple conflict and escalate it to a full blown war.  Too often you go to war without fully deliberating such action or considering the often unintended consequences.  In fact, when the decision is made that war is a must, rationale often flies out the window along with self-preservation. Far too often the war your emotions convince you that you must fight ends with only one causality, you.  Before you decide to go to war, decide whether or not the perceived victory is worth killing your spirit in the process.

Have a wise day!
