Sure, to shield your heart from love keeps you from experiencing the pain and agony that love can bring. It keeps your heart together, you mind sane and soul protected. And as good as that sounds, those same barriers prevent you from experiencing the immense joy and heightened excitement and feverish glee that come from love. Decide if what you are trying to save yourself from is worth what you are willfully depriving yourself of.
