“Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become.”
Holding tight to where you are now is perfectly acceptable as long as you are fine staying right there. In order for change to occur, you must let go of where you are now in order to move to where you need to be. It is frightening to let go of what is comfortable. But it is scarier to remain where you are comfortable forever simply because you couldn't build up the courage to surrender to the forces that would have taken you where you should have been.
