Thought of the Day - November 1, 2011

From someone who recognized the power in going the distance - Doug Larson

“More marriages might survive if the partners realized that sometimes the better comes after the worse.”

In life there are few things you willing sign up for that come with the disclaimer of a lifetime commitment filled with both good and bad, sickness and health, poor and rich. I mean it is part of the vows. Yet when the bad comes, some people are surprised. When the difficult comes, some people want to flee. Maybe they weren't paying attention at the ceremony. Perhaps they lack the willingness to put forth the necessary effort. It could also be that they picked the right person for all the wrong reasons. In the end, marriage is sacred to those who treat it as such and easily discarded to those who do not. It's helpful to be married to someone who feels the same way about it.

Have a simple day!
