A Cracked Skull with a Side of Fries

There is something happening among the female youth in New York City (although I don't doubt this trend is occurring outside my great city). Young ladies have adopted a demeanor that is very male inspired. What you see is the dress is very male, mannerisms are very male and sometimes, actions in line with that of men. I happen to be a believer in each person’s right to do and behave as they see fit for themselves. So this blog is in no way intended to bash those who I describe. I really seek to highlight the dangers that come about when behaving "like" a man comes up against an actual man.

In the case of the two young ladies who are in the hospital right now recovering from severe injuries received at the hands of a man who was employed at McDonalds, both of them may be reconsidering their idea that they are equal in strength and brood as this or any man.
It is not to say that women who aren't identifying as male don't go around attacking men who piss them off.  However, this woman who hit this man at his job after he accused her of having a counterfeit bill, clearly saw herself and this man as equals. So much so that after she smacked him across his face and he walked away, she proceeded to hop over the counter and chase him down. What she didn't expect was the pipe that hit her across her head (cracking her skull) nor did her partner in crime expect to be hit across her face with the same pipe. What they couldn't have expected was this gentleman who they attacked at his job would continue to hit them after they were on the ground and likely unconscious. That is because they couldn't have known that this man who they were trying to intimidate with their words and then attack physically, had done 10 years for a violent crime. I doubt any of that crossed their minds as they aggressively pursued this fight with a man.

Now, lying in hospital beds with charges pending against them, I'm sure they are thinking none of this was worth it. Neither their faces nor their lives will ever be the same going forward. But they couldn't have known that when they stepped up to a man thinking the fight would somehow go their way.  Not surprisingly though, most fights between men and women (no matter how much that female identifies with being male) usually go the way of the man.  Men are naturally stronger, especially in the upper body, than women and usually are capable of throwing all their body weight behind a punch. That doesn't often sit well against the face of a woman, no matter how tough she may think she is.

In my opinion, the real victim in this situation is the man who was attacked at work.  Yes he was an ex con, but he did exactly what society says he should have done, got a low level and low paying job in an attempt to get his life back on a track. That track is likely derailed at this point given the fact that he was fired and arrested. Not what he could have expected when he showed up at his job at McDonalds.

These young ladies got what they had coming to them. This gentleman got what happens when a man cracks a woman's skull, no matter who the aggressor is. In the end, this situation didn't end the way any of them could have imagined. But the lesson here for all women is this: No matter how tough you think you are or how bad you may be, stepping up to fight a man is risky business.  The kind of business that can lead to you getting your skull cracked and your ass whipped when all you wanted was a side of fries.
