As many of us know now, earthquakes shake the ground underneath you without warning. Initially you are fearful of what is about to happen, unsure if you can survive a total shift in the stable ground you are accustomed to. But then shaking stops, the fear subsides and you realize you are right where you need to be, safe and sound.
