Ever so often we lead with our pride, believing that is the way to move forward in life, the way to prevent people from hurting us, the way to protect our most vulnerable parts. But no matter how many walls you put up, they only serve to hide what you are feeling behind them, not prevent you from feeling it. Let down the walls, humble yourself, accept your vulnerability and let others close to you see it. It can be messy and painful and sometimes a bit overwhelming - but it is what makes you human. It is what makes you real.
