People will attempt to treat you as they see fit. Don't let them. Set up the standard for how people will treat you by first showing them how you treat yourself. Never falter or waiver from that standard of treatment and neither will those around you. If it so happens they do, check them when they have stepped off course. Some people will respond well to this correction and treat you accordingly. Others will continue to push, sure they know a better way to handle you. Stick with the former, dismiss the latter - quickly.
