Thought of the Day - September 28, 2010

From someone who knows how fragile the human memory is. - Bill Clayton

“The folks you help won't remember it and the folks you hurt won't ever forget it.”

Instead of trying to manage the memories of those who your actions impact, focus on managing the way you treat people. When you help someone, do it from your heart, not so you can remind them later. When you hurt someone, own it and understand they may never get beyond it. In the interim, all you can control are your actions, realizing they shape exactly what and how people remember you.

Have a compassionate day!
