Some friendships/relationships are perfect for the phase of life you are going through. Some are strong enough to travel through different phases, likely a lifetime, while others just can't. You can't force it and you can not drag a person along to your next phase of life knowing they just don't fit. It is unfair to you but mostly unfair to the other person. When their season is over, let them go. It is the right thing to do for both of you!
