"Every time you date someone with an issue that you have to work to ignore, you're settling."
There is a huge difference between compromise and settling. A large leap between being understanding and settling. We are all flawed individuals and at one time or another we will all ask another to accept those flaws. Accepting the flaw of another is vastly different from trying to ignore a blaring issue, one which compromises what you want, believe in or seek to have in your life. Those blaring issues are usually called red flags. And we all know the disaster that comes from ignoring those.
