From someone who is worshiped for his amazing thoughts - Buddha
"Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned."
When you hold on to the anger, you leave yourself bruised and damaged. Not only does this self inflicted wound hurt you, but the scar is visible to everyone who knows you. And for those who meet you, the scars of past hurt and anger are overwhelmingly visible. If you can avoid it, don't pick up the hot coal. If you are already holding one, drop it before you burn yourself beyond recognition.
Have a peaceful day!
