A promise, a true declaration of intentions need only be professed once. When a person keeps promising to do one thing after another, know that they mean to promise you nothing but the disappointment of promises broken. Commitment, love, honor, dedication need not be promised daily nor should a person feel the need to constantly verbalize that promise. The repeat of actions show the truth in a promise far better than the repeat of words.
