Whether you do it today for religious reasons or because you recognize how much you have been given, today is a day for giving up something in honor of all that was given up for you. There are so many things we take for granted in this life. And when times are bad we tend to appreciate what we have even less, always complaining about all we don't have. So today, if you are reading this, you have been blessed with life. Another day to try again, think some more, act accordingly. And if you can make a sacrifice to honor that blessing, it would be a small token of appreciation for an immeasurable gift.
