"Almost doesn't count."
Second place is still loosing, you get my drift. Almost is not the same as doing. When you almost love, almost trust, are almost ready for something - at the end of the day all that counts for nothing. You can only put points on the board when you have actually made the score. Otherwise you are almost everything - which counts for nothing.
